Name: Colin Creevey
Age: 16
House: Gryffindor

Physical:
Colin is of average-height (about 5'7"), with mousy brown hair and eyes that are sometimes brown and sometimes hazel (Colin can't quite figure it out). His mother tells him that his eyes will help him woo the ladies, but Colin doesn't believe a word she says. He constantly has a smile on his face and walks with an easy grace that shows a bit of confidence. He is somewhat built, having helped out his father at his milkman's job during the summer, but all of that is quickly forgotten once the school year comes around.

History:
Colin is a Muggleborn, and he lives with his family in Brighton. His parents didn't hold out much hope for their children being wizards (Colin's mother, Angeline, had Wizarding blood in her family), but when Colin recieved his Hogwarts letter his parents were extremely excited, as was Colin.

Angeline Creevey is a professional photographer, and is the primary breadwinner of the Creevey household. Martin Creevey, Colin's father, is a milk man. Colin has one younger brother (two years younger) by the name of Dennis, and Colin and Dennis spent so much time together as children that they are more like twins than mere siblings. But Colin was glad to get away from home and his brother for two years, since he was so excited about being a wizard.

The first year at Hogwarts was characterised by Colin's obsession with Harry Potter and Wizarding photography, an obsession that he could combine. He was fond of asking, "All right, Harry?" every time he saw the boy, and would often follow him around since he had never been in the presence of someone remotely famous before. His love for photography harmed him, though, because in his eagerness to capture the strange, slithering beast on film, he was Petrified by the basilisk and was in the Hospital Wing for the majority of the year.

After that incident, Colin toned down his Harry obsession, and by his third year decided he was going to seriously look into photography. He began taking pictures of not only people, but inanimate objects, and would spend hours after classes on the grounds, photographing whatever his heart desired. His Harry obsession came back a bit in fourth year, though, when the DA started up, he joined not only because he wanted to learn defensive and offensive magic, but because Harry Potter himself was teaching it.

Colin was slightly disappointed that he saw less of Harry in his 5th year, but since he was working on more serious photography and other endeavours he didn't really think on it too much.

Personality:
Colin is, if one thing, extremely excitable, and he goes from one extreme to the other when he's in public. There is no in-between when it comes to Colin Creevey. He is either very, very happy or very, very sad, or very, very angry. His personality has grated on his Housemates' nerves at times, but Colin is completely oblivious to the fact that he can get quite annoying. However, Colin has toned himself down a lot since his first year at school, and has long periods of time in which he sits and focuses on his photography. Colin is not very willing to show emotion that is too deep, which is why everything is such a big deal for him--he figures the bigger the emotion, the better he can hide what he's truly feeling. The only time one can know what Colin is truly feeling is to view his photography, where there are shades of grey among the black and white.

People have a tendency to view Colin's excitable nature as another form of stupidity, and Professors are always surprised when Colin recieves exceptional marks in his classes. He is actually extremely intelligent, having figured out in his first year how to develop film and the magical processes involved in developing moving pictures. However, he does not want to be known as "the smart kid," which is what got him out of a Ravenclaw sorting (along with other personality factors), so he keeps his intelligence hidden until he feels he needs to show it.

True to his Gryffindor sorting, Colin is brave, a tiny bit arrogant (one can't be that skilled at photography without at least a little hint of pride), and a bit reckless at times. He is almost laughably close with his younger brother, and would even dash out during class to make sure that his younger brother was okay. Ever since his petrification in his first year, rather than being wary of danger and staying away from potentially dangerous situations, Colin now rushes into danger full-force. He constantly berates himself for his stupidity, even though he was merely eleven, and couldn't possibly have known better.

Colin also has a tendency to fanboy. He loves fame, and since he figures he won't be getting any himself, he throws himself into avid hero-worship. As much as he's loathe to admit it, Colin still looks up to Harry Potter with all of his heart, and sometimes photographs the boy when he thinks he isn't looking. The same goes for Muggle celebrities--in fact, and entire wall of Colin's room is decorated with "artsy" shots of his favourite celebrities where he can admire them in private.
